The moka pot is a stove-top coffee maker that brews excellent tasting coffee by passing boiling water pressurized by steam through ground coffee.
Named after the Yemenite city of Mocha, it was invented by an Italian engineer named Alfonso Bialetti in 1933.
By far this has to be the most exciting, rewarding and satisfying way to make simple but outstanding coffee for friends, family and visitors and of course for yourself each and every day.
It’s a masterpiece in its own right and with a bit of loving care and looking after, the pot should last almost a lifetime producing the most beautiful coffee that nothing else really comes close..
And all this for just around $20 for a Moka Pot (prices vary largely from brand to brand. This one is an “AVANTI” but I have had “GAT” and “Bialetti” and both had faults and had to be returned).
Add a $5 – $10 battery operated Electric Milk Frother/ Foamer if you would like a frosted cappuccino and that is all what is needed.
Just 100g – 200g bag of purchased freshly roasted coffee beans roasted in the morning and ground to a fine Espresso grade choice is enough for many days (or even weeks) and when stored in an airtight container will offer anyone the absolute joy of quality coffee every day.
Enjoy the Moka pot brew ……….. (っ◕‿◕)っ
